Squats at the Station

If you’re like me and you spend most of your time sat at a desk and eating sweets/chocolate/cakes is a regular afternoon past-time, you might be thinking that you need to do something to shift that extra weight that seems to be appearing.


b2ap3_thumbnail_May-27th---Squats.jpgThe thing is, most of us small business owners struggle to find time to exercise, so I was intrigued when I heard about “The Lazy Workout: Commute Your Body”.  Someone’s made a video full of exercises you can do on your commute to work.  This sounds feasible until you watch the video – I’ve been on a London tube in rush hour and I think anyone performing these exercises would get the strangest looks!


However, I know that exercise is supposed to give you more energy so I’m sure if you’re brave enough you’d feel much better when you get to work and more motivated to tackle the tasks of the day!


If you’re not quite brave enough to tackle your exercise regime on the train, or like me you don’t actually have a commute (the advantages of working from home) then you could try the Couch to 5K programme.  I’ve just started week 3 and have found it a steady way to get back into exercise and a challenge to work towards.  It’s just 30 minutes 3 times a week so it’s not too hard to find the time and on a sunny day it’s nice to get out of the office for a break.  Not sure how I’ll fair in the cold, wet winter but hopefully I’ll be in the habit of it by then.
